Alfonso Blanco, Sr.

Alfonso Blanco, Sr., 88, joined our Lord in His heavenly kingdom on Friday, May 17, 2024. 

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Alicia G. Blanco; his parents, Francisco and Hipolita J. Blanco; by his siblings, Francisco Blanco, Jr., Teresa Schell, Carlos Blanco, Sr., Concepcion Blanco- Medina, Felipa Blanco, and Rene Blanco. 

Left to cherish his memory are his children, Alfonso (Maria Emilia) Blanco Jr., San Juanita Mendoza, Rosa Maria (Scott) Wilkinson, Alberto (Alma Delia) Blanco, Adriana Blanco, and Alicia (Ruben) Bustamante; grandchildren, Rebecca E. (Michael F.) Jones, Gabriela G. Blanco, Alfonso (Cassandra) Blanco III., Virginia Adriana Mendoza, Alberto Blanco Jr., Cristian Blanco, Juan Jose Castillo Jr., Jacqueline G. Costilla, and Adrienne Paz Bustamante; his three great-grandchildren; siblings, Micaela Blanco, Irene Kirby, and Jose S. Blanco; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

The family will be receiving condolences on Tuesday evening, May 21, 2024 from 5 to 9 p.m. at Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapels & Cremation Services, 1410 Jacaman Rd.; where a Vigil for the Deceased and Rosary will commence at 7 p.m.

Funeral Services will be conducted on Wednesday morning, May 22, 2024 departing at 8:30 a.m. from Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapels to Christ the King Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 a.m.

Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at the family plot of the Calvary Catholic Cemetery. 

Pallbearers will be: Alfonso Blanco Jr., Alfonso Blanco III., Robert A. Moreno, Juan Jose Castillo Jr., Ruben Bustamante, and Alberto Blanco.
