ALEJANDRO "ALEX" GONZALEZ JR.

May 13, 1935 - February 26, 2016

Alejandro "Alex" Gonzalez Jr., 80, entered into eternal rest on Friday, February 26, 2016.

Alex joined and proudly served in the U.S. Airforce for 21 years. Upon his return to Laredo, he was instrumental in the developing Silva Ultramind International. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and brother. Alex will be deeply missed, but will be cherished in the hearts and minds of those who had the pleasure to know and love him.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Ana Maria Gonzalez; and by his sister, Sylvia (Ernesto) Herrera.

Alex is survived by his children, Ana M. "Anita" (Manuel) Martinez, Alejandro Gonzalez III, Robert R. (Monica Alexander) Gonzalez, Richard (Nora) Gonzalez; grandchildren, Lyssa, Mario, Juan Jose "Jay", Cynthia, Nicole, Victoria, Robert Jr., Amanda, Andrew; great grandchildren, Thade, Isaac; brother, Samuel (Ans) Gonzalez; as well as family and many close friends.

Visitation will be held Monday, February 29, 2016 from 5 to 9 p.m. at Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapels at 1410 Jacaman Rd. Vigil and Rosary are scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.

Funeral procession will depart from the funeral home on Tuesday, March 01, 2016 at 9:30 a.m. to St. Patrick Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m.

He will be buried with military honors in the Laredo City Cemetery- Veteran's Section.

Pallbearers will be: Manuel Martinez, Felix Baratechea, Mario Sanchez, Jay Sanchez, Andrew Gonzalez, and Robert Gonzalez Jr.
