ALEJANDRO CAVAZOS, JR.
OCTOBER 30, 1934 - JULY 17, 2012

Mr. Alejandro Cavazos, Jr., 79, passed away Tuesday, July 17, 2012 at LMC surrounded by his family.

Mr.-Cavazos was an avid musician who played and sang with several local bands and trios throughout his life.-Even while serving in the military and stationed in Alaska, he managed to get a group together and played for his fellow GI's.-Most recently Mr. Cavazos was a member of the Trio Los Romanticos, with his friends Arturo Obregon and Ruben Rivera.

Besides his love for playing the guitar and singing, especially Boleros, Alex also enjoyed playing pool with his friends.-He will be greatly missed by all who shared his company and love of good music.

He was preceded in death by his father, Alejandro Cavazos Sr. and is survived by his mother Aurora Cavazos who celebrated her 100th birthday on July 11th and whom he serenaded with Las Mananitas.

Alex is survived by his wife of 51 years, Alicia Cavazos Maldonado, and his sons, Alejandro Cavazos III, and Alberto Cavazos, as well as four grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.-Also surviving him are his brothers, Ricardo (Maria Elena) Cavazos, David Sergio (Raquel) Cavazos, and his sister Bertha (Alberto) Arizola as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to thank the LMC nurses and staff of the second floor ICU who provided excellent care for him.
