Gone is a mother loved by all, her soul is now at rest. She'll sleep at peace, her work is done. A mother's work---the best. Our hearts may grieve that she must lie beneath the sacred sod, and yet we know she lives in peace within the house of God. Mrs. Albina B. Martinez, 96, entered into the Lord's presence the afternoon of Friday, July 31, 2015. She was surrounded by her loving and caring family as she peacefully entered into rest. Mrs. Martinez was first and foremost a strong woman of deep faith, whose strong faith helped her guide her children and extended family in their love of God. She was a lifelong parishioner and benefactor at San Jose Catholic Church, her beloved parish. Albina was a member of the Asociacin de la Vela Perpetua (Altar Society); an association to whom she gave countless hours of labor. She was also involved with the Salesian Order as a Salesian Cooperator. She leaves behind many cherished memories in the hearts and minds of all to whom she touched. Mrs. Martinez now joins her beloved husband Ramon N. Martinez and her son, Anselmo A. Martinez in the presence of the Almighty. She is lovingly survived by her children: Ramon D. (Carmela) Martinez, Javier J. (Rosamaria) Martinez, Manuela M. (Eduardo) Cavazos; daughter-in-law, Monica R. Martinez; 9 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, as well as by numerous nieces, nephews, other beloved relatives and friends. The family will gather on Monday, August 3, 2015 at Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapels, 1410 Jacaman Rd.; where they will be receiving condolences from 9 a.m. until 11:15 a.m. A Rosary will be recited in her memory at 10 a.m. Procession will immediately follow to San Jose Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 12 noon. Rite of Committal and Interment will follow to the Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Eduardo J. Cavazos, Miguel A. Cavazos, Brandon Byrne, Ramon E.
