ALBERTO LUIS LIRA MAY 09, 1963 - OCTOBER 29, 2014 Alberto Luis "Beto" Lira, 51, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, October 29, 2014. Beto. Hunting, fishing, welding, working; he wasn't your typical man's man. Working was his driving motive in life. He was happiest when he was busy. If you ever had the privilege to shake his hand, you would get a glimpse at the type of man he was. His hands were rough, rugged, and strong, yet one glance up into his eyes and you would catch a glimpse of his playful personality. He wasn't a man of many words, but what he said always made a statement. He was a loving father, grandfather, and husband. His family meant the world to him and filled him with pride. Friends he had few, but acquaintances he had many. Everyone knew Beto. Beto was also very proud of his opportunity to serve our country, and displayed his patriotism boldly and with honor. Beto will always be loved and remembered by all the lives he touched. Alberto "Beto" is preceded in death by his parents: Silvestre and Guadalupe Lira, and brother Servando Lira. He is survived by his loving wife: Rosita V. Martinez; children: Silvestre Luis (Blanca) Lira, Mario Alberto (Alejandra) Lira, David Rene Lira, Christopher Michael Lira, Jessica Lee (Jack) Nelson, Rolando Alexis Rincon; grandchildren: Julianna Rose Nelson, Jacqueline Alexandria Nelson; brothers and sisters: Pedro (San Juana) Lira, Silvestre (Sara) Lira, Gloria (Ruben) Ramon, Javier (Paula) Lira, Alicia (Pedro) Villarreal, Raquel (Oscar) Reyna, Gilda (Jose) Medina; and mother of his children: Maria C.
