ALBERTO E. FLORES June 15, 1928 - February 20, 2015 Alberto E. Flores, loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, entered into eternal rest on Friday, February 20, 2015 at the age of 86. Mr. Alberto E. Flores proudly served his country as a soldier in the U.S. Armed Forces. After being honorably discharged he began his career up until his retirement as one of Laredo's finest; a firefighter for the Laredo Fire Department for 26 years. He is preceded in death by his daughters, Mary Flores, Sandra Gonzalez; parents, Alberto and Otila Flores; brothers, Daniel, Leonel, Fidel Flores, and his sister Alicia Rodriguez. He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years Eva Cecilia Flores; children, Laura (Javier) Pea, Adriana (Vicente) Moreno, Melissa (Julio) Villarreal, Alberto Alfonso (Araceli) Flores, Yvonne Michelle (Juan) Leyva, Daniel L. Flores, Elena Isabel Flores; 21 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; siblings, Virginia Trevio, Amelia Trevio, Ana Sandoval, Maria Elena Flores. He is also survived by nephews, nieces, and other loving relatives and friends. Visitation will be held Friday, February 27, 2015 at Joe Jackson Heights Funeral Chapels, 719 Loring at Cortez from 5 to 9 in the evening. A Rosary will be recited at 7 in the evening. Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 28, 2015 departing the funeral home at 9:40 a.m. to Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery with military honors provided by Fort Sam Houston, and the Local Post 59.
