Aguinaldo Rubio, Jr.

April 27, 1962 — May 12, 2014

Aguinaldo Rubio, Jr., 52 peacefully passed away in his home and met Our Lord and Savior on Monday, May 12, 2014, surrounded by his family. Guine, as he was affectionately known by his family and friends will be dearly missed. He was the best dad, husband, son, uncle, brother and friend. He always had a joke, a prank and always had to have the last word. A Jack of all trades whose passion was ranching and hunting. He worked for Union Pacific Rail Road for 23 years. Our Aguinaldo courageously fought cancer until the end. Aguinaldo was survived by his beloved wife, Yolanda M. Rubio of 33 years of marriage, four children: Angelina (A. J.) Rubio-Zamarripa, Alyssa Y. Rubio, Aimee Rubio and Aguinaldo Rubio, III; and the light of his life, his grandson, Alek "Papa Bear" Zamarripa. Also surviving him are his parents, Aguinaldo (Angelina G.) Rubio, Sr., and his brothers and sisters: Abrahan (Sonia) Rubio, Amede (Adriana) Rubio, Adriana Rubio, Alicia R. (Gilbert) Gamez and Annette (Jose M.) Gonzalez Jr.; numerous nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles and other relatives and friends including good friends Ramon (Bertha) Garcia and Bob (Marina) Hess. Vigil for Aguinaldo will be held today Thursday, May 15, 2014 from 5 to 9 p.m. at Joe Jackson Heights Funeral Chapels, 719 Loring at Cortez. A Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. A funeral procession will depart Friday, May 16, 2014 from Joe Jackson Heights Funeral Chapels at 9:20 to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at Christ the King Catholic Church at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at the Laredo City Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Aguinaldo Rubio, III, Abrahan Rubio, Amede Rubio, Gilberto Gamez, Sr., Jose Manuel Gonzalez, Jr., Robert W. Hess, Mark De La Garza, Arnoldo David Rubio, Joey Hilario, Alejandro Rubio, Jessie Salas, Pilar Moya, Jr., Leonel Moya, Ramon Garcia, Gilberto Gamez, Jr., Alejandro Jesus Zamarripa, Santos Perez, Gabriel Rubio, Arturo Rubio, Joe Pea, Marcus Anthony Gamez, Jose Manuel Gonzalez, III, and Abrahan Rubio, Jr. Honorary Pallbearer will be, Aguinaldo Rubio, Sr.
