ABRAHAM DAMASO REYNA

JANUARY 29, 1962 – JANUARY 21, 2018

Mr. Abraham Damaso Reyna, 55, from Laredo, entered into the loving presence of his Heavenly Father on Sunday, January 21, 2018 in San Antonio, Texas.

Abraham loved Our Savior and had recently participated in a one day retreat held at Camp Huisache. He had already prepared himself for his arrival with Our Lord. Abraham touched many individual lives through his wit, love, kindness, and generosity. He always made people feel happy and always valued their friendship. He would go over and beyond to lend a helping hand whenever one was in need. He was an active member at his home parish of San Luis Rey, where he devoted his time serving as an usher and helping with the church collections.

He attended local schools and graduated from Martin High School in 1981 and later attended Laredo Junior College where he was a member of Phi Delta Kappa. He worked at Don Jose Sports Wear in California, Payless Field Auditor for 4 years, Laredo Glass Shop for 10 years and devoted his time with the Boy Scouts of America, having been the Cub Scout Leader at Alma Pierce Elementary School since 2000. This is when his love for scouting began. He guided countless young men through their scouting journey with several becoming Eagle Scouts.

Abraham was the Martin High School Drum Major during his Junior and Senior year. He was a proud member of “La Banda del Animo” until the very end.

Abraham will continue to live in our hearts and minds as a loving husband, father, brother and friend. “Once A Tiger, Always A Tiger.”
